  I tried to sign into my.new account, couldn't find my account #. Plus,I was concerned that my rate would be very expensive since I use less than 500kg
On average. Chat with Kim Relieved my worry. Thought I would be charged for .500 even if I only used 350 0r 400
She assured me that I wouldn't!.
Good news, Informed personnel are the heart blood of Customer Service.

Love the weekly emails

  Probably my favorite thing about this company is they send weekly emails showing how much energy you used that week and compares it to the week before. It takes an average of energy used and gives an estimated amount due for that month. It also shows when the energy was used each week in comparison to the last week so I can see when we use it the most. Its also great to be able to use green energy even living in an apartment.

Electricity at an affordable price!!!!

  I'm someone that rarely takes time to give reviews because of how time consuming some of them can be. However, I thought I would take a moment to give you my honest review on 4Change Energy. I've been a customer of 4Change Energy for over a year now and I couldn't be more happier with the service they provide. My monthly bills have been more than reasonable. I have a 2 story home and my electricity bill on average has been no more than $125 per month and this includes running the AC pretty much all day in the summer time and running my heat all day in the winter. My previous electricity provider was Ambit Energy and on average, my electricity bill ranged between $165 and $175. So as you can see, I'm definitely saving money with 4Change Energy.

Cheapest prices with no gimicks

  I have had 4Change for almost 2 years now. My bills average around $100 for a 1300 sq. foot house. I am very pleased.

  I have 12 month fixed rate plan for usage under 1000kw and it suits me fine! I average about 850kw and my bill has been the same every month..$34.06. The avg, varies each month, but that is about $.04 per KW. Beat That!!

Switch over to Startex Power - they are GREAT

  If you are considering switching over power companies, I HIGHLY recommend Startex Power!!
Switched over 2 years ago to a fantastic rate for 1 year. When my contract came up for renewal they did in fact mail me a letter a month before the contact was up to renew. I never got around to renewing until today, after going month to month for about a year (and even then my bills weren't that much higher than when I was on the contract). When I called today, I talked to a woman here in HOUSTON, who spoke fluent English and she asked what kind of term I was looking for. I told her if I could get the rate listed on the PowertoChoose website that would be great. I was waiting for the standard reply of "that is for new customers only." but SHE SAID "Yes we can do that. That plan is for new and renewing customers." I also asked her to look up what my average useage was per month and she pulled it right up without giving me attitude. LOVE IT!!!!!!
We set up automatic draft payments through the Startex website (not through our bank's pay bills feature) and have had our payments posted every month on the due date with NO ISSUES.
Now I know why they keep winning the BBB Customer Service Awards.

18-month customer--very satisfied!

  Our home is 1500 SF and it's only 2 years old. My husband and I set the thermostat at 72 in the summers and 68 in the winters. Our bills with Discount Power are the lowest in our subdivision and average about $55-$60/month. The one from this month was only $37. I'm not sure what the issue everyone is having, but our experience has been excellent with Discount Power. We enjoy our fixed rates and no additional surcharges like the other electric providers. Thank you, Discount Power!

No Solar System Program

  I like Veterans Energy much more than TXU or Reliant. Unfortunately I may have to leave Veterans Energy.

I am currently seeking proposals for installation of solar panels that will provide enough Kwh to meet my current average monthly consumption on an annual basis. The keyword being average, meaning that there would be months that I may consume more Kwh, and some months that I would consume less.

I was greatly disappointed to learn that Veterans Energy does not provide an energy buy-back or a refund Kwh billing credit for (unused) energy created by solar systems that feeds back into the grid. This is also as much surprising as disappointing because Texas is a solar friendly state and most other electric providers do offer some type of program many of them dollar-for-dollar offsets.

I doubt that they could get a program up and running before I proceed with my installation plans (within the next couple of months). That will leave me with a regretful decision of having to ultimately cancel service upon completion of the solar system installation, paying a cancellation fee, and having to seek a provider that does offer a compensation program. But most regretfully I will no longer be their customer and a part of helping veterans.

If anyone from Veterans Energy is reading this, please let me know if you can do something. Veterans Energy a great company and I would really prefer to stay with you.

Great price for electricity

  I came across 4Change Energy when looking for a way to reduce my energy costs when TXU wanted to raise my rates. I have been pleased with the results. The average of my bill for the past 10 months has been $128/month and an average price per KWH of $0.0845

Scana Service Report

  I have had Scana for 4 years. Overall their service is of normal quality. My bill is always right. I have no complaints on average, however, the one time I missed a payment they cut me off and forced me to pay the bill in full and do another deposit. Other than that one experience I usually never talk to them or have any issues from them.

Beat electric company

  I've had 4change since 2013. I've never had lower electric bills. My house is agonist 2400 square feet and even in the summer with the AC on my bills average $120. On top of those great rates they donate a portion of what I pay to the charity of my choice from their list.

Gexa is my favorite energy company

  Gexa is the best energy company we have used. We use less than 1000 kwh per month (500 on average) and they give us a credit of $25 each month for that. Sometimes our bill is even negative and is subtracted from the next month's bill. I thought for sure it was just a ploy to get new customers and it wouldn't be renewable, but I just renewed our plan, and our net charge for using about 500 kwh is now around 3 cents!! We are paying about 8 cents minus a $40 credit! In the past our electricity bills have been around $100 in the summer, but now in the summer (in Texas - it's 90 - 110 degrees Fahrenheit every day) it's usually around $40 or $50 :) Also, they are always so nice on the phone and I have never had to wait on hold. Keep it up, Gexa.

Happy Customer

  I was considering changing and found out my renewal rate was in line with all other offers and there is really no reason to leave. I'm blown away by all the bad reviews. To be fair, I've not had to deal with customer service as I auto pay my bill, have not had to move and have not let my contract expire. I don't remember how long we have been a customer, 4 years? But I do remember the savings was amazing. Our average bill is 180 with a 2 story house and a 3rd unit for the room over the garage. Prior to that we were averaging almost 300 a month. I hope some of the bad reviews are old and the customer service issues have been taken care of.

  I have been with Amigo Energy for over two years. They quoted me $ .089/Kw and it averaged $ .08966/ Kw.
I am very pleased with all aspects which includes their billing process. I never needed their customer service department.

Discount Power is GREAT !!

  I signed up for the 2 year Discount Power saver - no gimmicks option with a $ .0681 per kwh fixed rate charge. which included Oncor delivery charges, in January 2016. I cancelled a contract with Reliant that was averaging 12 cents per kwh overall including Oncor and paid a cancellation fee to boot. I also signed up for direct billing to my credit card each month to avoid paying more and to eliminate any/all contingencies such as late payments etc. To date thru 5/1/16 I have saved over $230 bucks over what I would have paid Reliant and I'm under contract for 2 full years so I expect to save close to $2000 or more thru the contract period especially when it gets hot and usage is 1500kwhs or more. I CHALLENGE anyone to find a cheaper fixed rate anywhere. Do your homework thru powertochoose.org and check out the savings, BUT read the fine print. Get a FIXED no gimmicks rate that applies to any/all usage hours so you are not blindsided. . Pay your bill on time and avoid costly charges. I read all these negative reviews and they do Discount Power a disservice. My experience has been absolutely fantastic and I save , save and save.......I could not be happier. Great Company!

  I've had Bounce Energy for a couple of years now in Alvin, TX. I've had absolutely no issues with them. I've even transferred services recently and was able to switch to a cheaper plan. I've read some of the negative reviews here and a few people mentioned that their kwh has doubled after switching plans - personally (in my opinion), I think their usage just went up so because of that, the "average kwh" that they are seeing on their bill is higher, which leads them to think that it is higher in general. That's not the case at all. It just shows the average kwh of what you're paying, which is in relation to, well, how much electricity you use.
