Good Electric company

(5 / 5)

Its very good electric company and I have been using since 1 and 1/2 year without any problem. After switching to this provider my bill almost reduced to half. Also they have very good reward program and gives you cash back of $50 , $25 etc on time to time like for 3 or 6 months or if autopay chosen. Their rates are decent and didn't get any problems so far and it is very easy to switch to Bounce Energy.

$50 Off First Bill + $50 Visa Card + $15 Walmart Card + 3% cash back

Get rewarded every six months and earn items such as gift cards, airline miles, bill credits, and even a FREE month of electricity!

I was lured into their ofc. At Walmart. 1st they told me I would get a 12 3 with free weekends and 75.00 coupon. Sounds Great! Signed! Then as I was asking questions they told me if I use less than 1,000 my rate goes up for using less. I continued asking questions then it was revealed to me if I use more than 2,000 my rate changes again! Totally confused by all the rate changes! In addition, I told them my contract with my previous company ends on 8-14-18 so I don't want to start with them until 8/15/218, fine it was stated on the contract. I should have know by all the RED FLAGS, but my neighbor has them and referred me. All fine .right?! NOT! the day I signed 7/27/18 they started service. Which meant i received a cancellation fee and lost my .8 from my previous provider. When did I find this out? WHILE ON VACATION!! yes, I started receiving emails from both providers!! Which added to my confusion and interrupted my vacation.. thanks Reliant! So I tried hard to put this out of my mind until I can back from vacation, worked somewhat! When I came back it was a TOTAL MESS RELIANT CAUSED THAT I HAD TO CLEAN UP! I was on the phone with their office several times! In addition, I had to call my precious provider several times to take me back ASAP. Will never leave TriEagle, their rates are good, consistant, billing is easy to read and customer service is AWESOME!!! will not recommend Reliant they are dishonest!

Worst Customer Service in the billing department EVER experienced

(1.4 / 5)

I have one year left on my foolish 2yr contract and I am considering paying the penalty to leave. The long and the short of it is I had auto-pay set up through my debit card...which was hacked TWICE. Each time I called and laboriously explained what had happened and I need to pay the account but would be getting a new card in the mail. You just know when the lights are home but "nobody's home" when you get a representative that obviously dislikes their job....and this happened each time I called. By the 5th call they refused to accept my debit card any more but would accept my bank account number...but I had to input it myself on the website which I had to beg to speak to a supervisor to explain they had me locked out of the website. Finally a supervisor begrudgingly unlocked the website long enough for me to input my account information. As my next due date approached I kept watching my bank account and the payment had not been withdrawn. so once again I called the service dept. I started off asking for a supervisor and the young lady refused to connect me. I tried to explain the situation to her and she said not worry the payment would come out on the due date. I explained that "today" is the due date and she assured me it would come out. 2 days pass... I called back and spoke to a relatively nice man and he informed me my payment did not go through because there wasn't enough money in my account...which was ludicrous. He did let me speak to a supervisor who apologized to me every other word but told me I was blocked for bank card or back account ...so I asked to please verify the number that was input...Sorry he couldn't see the number just the last 3 digits. I had to go to the website and verify it, but I protested I am locked out and cannot verify. After my desperation was finally clear to him he released the account for that one payment but told me I was now going to have to pay my account in person at Walmart or Kroger...so I begged to be released from my contract. I told him it was obvious they really didn't want me as a client so please release me...no can do he said...If you are thinking of Cirro...just say no!!!!

I was talked into this at Walmart. First she claimed my current rate was .07 but it was not when I checked. Then I started checking the reviews & contract. They can increase your rate as much as 30% after 3 months. I have since been trying to get this service rescinded/cancelled and still have not received confirmation. DO NOT SIGN UP WITH NRG HOME!

Horrible run... Lies lies

(1 / 5)

I signed up at Walmart. The sales man lied and said I would get a gift card after 3 months. 200 gift card. After I wait the time frame... no gift card and now I'm paying 200 to 250 a month for electric. The it gets shuts off I still get charged another 200 dollars for the service being disconnected. NEVER sign up with them

Expensive Service Provider

(1 / 5)

Agents working in Walmart do not provide enough Information.
My Security Deposit was not refunded as I payed half of security deposit and the agent did not tell me that the deposit is not refundable if you pay half of it.
The billing is too expensive.
They do not provide good offers.
The average monthly plan has some amounts added to the bill is not understandable. Please do not opt for average monthly plan. Reliant tries to fetch more money out of your pocket with this option.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. This company cheated me.

Crooked way hunting customers

(1 / 5)

Theyre doing monkey business. Their agent at Walmart lied about them charging fees to cancel service. I asked how much they charge for early cancellation, he said dont worry about it. I agreed to sign up, I filled out my information and I didnt see anywhere charge for cancellation is $295. They deliberately dont show it when signing, and their representative denied they do charge $295 for early cancellation. They tricked me into their service. I found out about the fee when I got their welcome email. Then I could clearly see the $295 for cancellation. Had I known about it I would not have signed up. Theyre liers crooks . I complained to them in an email and phone call, they said theyll not cancel my service without charging me. So Im stuck with them for the entire contract period of 24 months.

In early April my electric company called and asked why I had changed companies before my contract was up. I was taken by surprise. I was perfectly happy with my electric company and I HAD NOT SWITCHED. Much phone calls and I FINALLY found I had been switched to TruSmart, a company I had never heard of. My old company did an investigation and I did get back with them with no fee for "breaking my contract" as they knew I had not done it.

Meanwhile I get a bill from this rip off company with meter readings Arpil 10-Paril 14 and it was for $34.52. No AC, no heating nothing. How could it be so high? One thing was an #11.95 "non auto pay fee". Never heard of that kind of thing either. I pay nothing by auto pay. I have since gotten a bill from my well known electric company that was for a 30 day period and it was $81.94. And this is with using fans (we also have total electric house. compare that--30 days with trusted company--$81.94. FOUR days with this rip off company...$34.52.

I have written them asking for refund and but not heard from them and probably will not. I have also filed a complaint with the Texas Public Utility Company and may even try reporting them to the Texas Attorney General. I think it is a total scam, a rip off. do NOT voluntarily use this company. And if you get slammed, report to PUC and have your old company investigate and get you back. One other thing--we were never able to ge3t anyone to answer at the Houston number, and the other number we called was answered by someone with such a strong foreign accent we could not understand what was being said other than we had won a $100 Walmart gift card.

Had my issues, but love the rewards

(0 / 5)

Like I've seen on some other reviews here & on other sites, there are a decent number of issues that come with using Bounce. I've never had billing issues, so I can't speak to those. The only issues I've had have involved claiming rewards. A couple of times I was in line for a reward & chose a gift card. Apparently gift cards are handled by a third party and there must have been a breakdown in getting my info to them. I did have to call customer service to get this fixed & while it took a few tries, I was never on hold for an unreasonable amount of time - probably 5 minutes max. In the end I said screw the gift card & took the $50 bill credit instead. All in all, I got $50 just for paying my bill on time. Yea there was a little more hassle than I would've liked, but I can suck it up for free money.

The rewards are a really nice perk though. So far I've gotten 2 $50 referral credits (one for using someone elses referral & one for referring a friend), 2 movie tickets from Fandango, a $50 bill credit for 12 on time payments (this is where I had the gift card issue), a $15 Walmart gift card & a free month of energy for 24 on time payments (they take your 2 year average, so this came out to about $75 for me). All in all, it's about $260 in rewards over two years.

There are some hassles, but nothing's hassle free.

If you are signing up for Bounce, use this link to get a $50 bill credit on your first bill. Best way to start with a new company!!
