  Bait & Switch - Stream promised a rebate of the switching fees from Xoom (who gave good rates and excellent services) - but when I submitted the final bill from Xoom (which took two months to receive) they said they would not honor the rebate because they didn't receive it in the allotted time frame. This was delivered via email after a customer service person on the phone confirmed the rebate was valid. BEWARE!

  They have fees for everything 10$ late fees. The bill is always high at least 70$ 20-30$ more than South. I only have hot water on gas and heat in the summer and in the summer months it's still 70$ they will charge you a 25$ fee if they disconnect. They are not willing to work with you at all it's a pretty bad company. They are in it strictly for the money with all the hidden fees and lack of assistance. Do not use this company it's highway robbery.

  On seasonal billing. Notified gas company that I had credit of $560 to be applied to account in addition to $200 paid. In the Winter still cut off service. Instead of returning payments to Partnership for Community Action company reconnected service and billed for unnecessary charges. Upon request to turn seasonal see off Representative STILL wants early termination fee EVEN THOUGH IM ON SEASONAL BILLING. WORST COMPANY WILL NEVER USE COMPANY AGAIN.

  Intentionally not providing adequate contact to customers about account issues which lead to late fees, account closure, and issues with equipment at my home being replaced. Wouldn't reimburse us for damages.
Predatory company, should be closed and CEO should be in prison.

More Bad News

  After being on the phone several hours today with SCANA they agreed to waive the reconnection fees for a disconnection that never should have happened. They said they won't be able to reconnect my gas today and can only do that on Friday(48 hours after disconnection). Normally they give a 4-hour window for reconnection and someone 18+ has to be present for the technician to do the reconnection...tomorrow they could only give me an 8-hour window for reconnection (8am-4pm). I will have to miss a whole day of work waiting on the technician to turn my gas back on. SCANA says they will not credit me back for my day of missed work. All of this for a disconnection that never should have happened. The full payment they were requesting was delivered before the time they specified in the notice. Now all this is my problem apparently....buyer beware!

Unfortunately, they do not offer same day appointments. We are provided the first available date and time slots and schedule accordingly. Very Poor Customer Service

  I purchased a new HVAC system and want to test the gas line flow to the HVAC and verify if my new system is able to light the gas unit and see of it safely heats. I want to remove the lock and unlock the gas valve for a brief test. I'm told there is a service charges in the amount of $60.00 to preform this task. I find that this is an absolutely unreasonable and an outrageous fee to pay for this service. I want to run the gas flow for 10 minutes and run a safety check. People purchase new HVAC systems every day and need to check their systems. This is yet another example of GNG nickel and diming charges that consistently drive customers crazy. Additionally, your telephone connections are third world and very bad connections. I can't even hear the representative because the sound quality is so poor hearing nothing but static and pixilated sound and after three bad calls I just gave up. This is also really annoying. Another example of cheap and inefficient service making contacting GNG not easy and reliable for customers. GNG should provide a brief unlocking service to customs as a free service once every two or three years. Removing the lock and turning on the gas flow for 10 minutes so as to verify the safely and function of my new HVAC system seams little to ask of a public utility.

Used car dealers of natural gas

  Switched plans with them, ended up with a $150 credit from left over balance from previous plan. Next billing cycle ended up with a $275 bill. Had monthly gas charges and tax added together. Also had $175 on a single line in bill labelled "bill adjustment". Spoke with customer service and was told it was owed for previous months service. Questioned how I have and credit on account balance month before and now it's turned to amount I owe now. Spoke to several rude supervisors, none cared, all explanations were different each one I spoke too. Smoke and mirrors and scam artists.

  Gas south had a system error where the payment process never reached my bank and gs charged me twice for declined payments and late fees. My bank verified no such charges came thru. Yet gs charged me $70 of bogus fees. They are thieves and liars!
