Bad policy on Due Dates

  Gas South changes their due dates every month causing late fees if you do not notice it. I was told by CS that the bills are sent when Atlanta Gas Light reads the meter. That is fine but the due date should always be the same day. Last month mine was due 5 days earlier than the previous month, causing my payment to be late. Gas South needs to amend their automated billing to make the due date the same day regardless of when the bill is sent. Most people get paid the same day each month and pay their bills on that day or automate bill payments based on that paycheck date. This moving of due dates by Gas South will always make customers late on their payments and shows Gas South is completely out of touch with the majority of its customer base and their financial setup.

Excellent Customer/Order Service Representative

  I called Gas South directly to confirm that my new service order (placed through GA Power's transfer to a 3rd party company) was scheduled because I did not receive any email confirmations. In calling, I was blessed to speak with ALMA the most professional and highly trained, not to mention personable & patient, representative that I have had the pleasure to encounter in years. I had numerous questions (some of which were repetitive), but she responded positively and answered each one completely, to ensure my understanding. ALMA provided all of the details and was able to schedule an earlier connection date.
In this post-pandemic time, the idea of legendary customer service has been lost to people just occupying a position/job. I can absolutely and emphatically say that ALMA displayed "legendary and exceptionally, excellent service" from start to finish of the call. Gas South has a remarkable employee in ALMA and I pray this review will help her to be recognized & hopefully compensated for such service. It would be stellar if all corporate companies would incentivize to show appreciation to their outstanding employees. I hope the gas service itself over the next months will be as great. Thank you.
