Find The Best Natural Gas Prices In Alpharetta
Georgia households can pay anywhere from $680 to over $1,000 a year for the same amount of gas, depending on which natural gas provider they choose. This shows just how important it is to make sure you’re getting a cheap natural gas rate in Georgia. Alpharetta residents could save hundreds of dollars per year on their energy bills, just by switching to a new provider with cheap gas rates. So, who has the cheapest natural gas in Alpharetta? Let’s find out.
Low Prices On 12 Month Natural Gas Plans
There are two plans that offer a rock-bottom rate on natural gas. The first is the Constellation Metro Home 12 Month plan, which brings you a low price of only $0.349 per therm. That’s one of the best rates around, but it’s offset by the relatively high monthly charges that Constellation levies. You’ll pay $7.95 per month ($95.40 annually) in service fees, whereas other providers offer cheaper monthly charges.
The XOOM Energy SureLock 12 plan brings the same low price on natural gas, at $0.349 per therm. However, XOOM Energy also offers a lower monthly service charge to customers. XOOM Energy’s monthly fee is $5.85 ($70.20 annually). So you’ll make a saving of around $25 a year by choosing this provider instead of the Constellation plan’s higher monthly service fees.
Great Deals On Natural Gas In Georgia
These aren’t the only two natural gas providers to choose from, though. The Infinite Energy 12 Month Fixed plan offers a rate that’s only marginally higher, at $0.359 per therm. This provider has recently taken over many natural gas contracts in the Atlanta Metro area, (including some customers in Alpharetta). You’ll spend a penny per therm more than the previous plans. However, for a typical household using an average of 700 therms per year, the higher rate will likely only add up to about $7 a year.
There are two other fixed-rate 12 month natural gas plans available in the Alpharetta area. These plans come with a significantly higher price per therm. The Gas South Fixed 12 Month plan offers a rate of $0.490 per therm. Similarly, the SCANA Energy 12 Month Fixed Rate plan brings a price per therm of $0.499. If you burn 700 therms per year, then these plans could end up costing over $90 per year more than you need to spend ($0.13 x 700).
Saving Money At Home
Choosing a cheap natural gas deal is an easy way to save money. While we’ve quoted the Georgia Public Services Commission’s average residential usage of around 700 therms per year, there are many large homes in Georgia that use a lot of natural gas.
In these cases, we strongly recommend switching your natural gas provider to one of the cheap deals we’ve mentioned above. You could save a lot of money on natural gas simply by picking up a cheap fixed rate deal, and it could take as little as 5 minutes. Why put it off any longer?
