Reviews from Red Oak:

I ? 4Change Energy

(5 / 5)

4Change Energy is the best electricity provider hands down. I have saved money every month I have been with them.

Their service and rates are excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

Watch Out When Your Contract Expires!

(3.4 / 5)

I have been a Star Tex Power customer for the past 2 and half years. Although their rates were a little higher than their competitors their billing and customer service was always great.
However, my 12 month fixed rate contract recently expired and my 8.750 rate went to 13.390 on my next billing cycle. Evidently they don't mind gouging their current customer base with an excessively higher rate and really don't mind retaining current customers! I felt taken advantage of (screwed to us the popular venacular). Obviously, I went with one of their competitors renewing with a 7.9 fixed rate. Good bye and good riddens Star Tex Power. I hope you figure out that treating your current customer base fairly and equitablely is what keeps you in business.

Why do they give a customer service number that will not answer?

(3.2 / 5)

Unless you live to be 124 years old, you will not live long enough to have a customer service rep. Answer the phone.

Poor customer service

(2.2 / 5)

I called customer service to change my due date from 10th to the 15th, when I get paid. They told me they could not do it. Asked for a supervisor and got the same answer. Previous electric companies like Cirro, were more than willing to do this. Now, I have had to pay a late charge every month! Will not renew with this company again.

Poor service

(1 / 5)

This electricity company eats through your money. I've had a very poor experience and would never recommend them to anyone and will never you them again myself. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your electric provider.

Most ridiculous company ever!

(1 / 5)

I had service with First Choice Power for over 4 years. I moved out of my house the end of May and paid my last bill. Then in October I started new service at a new address. They turned on power at both my new house and old house. I called about the issue, then was promised that I wouldn't be charged for the old house and my bill would be taken care of. Then I get my first bill and it's over $200 for half of a month and am informed that I received a $150 cancellation fee for the house that THEY made the mistake of turning on! I will never use this company again

Summer Energy experience

(0.8 / 5)

I would NOT recommend Summer Energy, they slammed me for a much higher rate than I signed up for.

Crooked Business

(0 / 5)

STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKED A$$HOLES! This was a good company until my contract ran out. I went from having at most a $140 energy bill in the hottest part of summer to $400-$500 bills no matter how little electricity I use. They even charged me for a six month old bill that was suspiciously added to a current one. They said the credit card company rejected the payment six months after I paid it and then threatened to cut off my electricity if I didn't pay immediately. Just Energy is nothing but a crooked company with rates that aren't the least bit competitive.
