Atlanta Gas Light Rebate Program<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Atlanta Gas Light<\/a><\/strong> also offers rebates on energy efficient natural gas furnaces. These rebates aren’t quite as big as those offered by the state of Georgia, but I’ll take a few hundred in savings where I can get it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rebate amounts are based on the annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE). That is, how efficiently the furnace makes heat. Upgrading to a natural gas furnace with 92% AFUE or higher gets a $300 rebate. Or you can go for max efficiency, or 95% AFUE or higher, for a $400 rebate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also update your natural gas water heater with a model that is rated .82 uniform energy factor (UEF)<\/a> or higher and get a $200 rebate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Save More with New Natural Gas Plan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Your new high efficiency furnace is definitely going to drop your natural gas costs. Just think about it. A standard furnace today is about 80% efficient. So, if you go with a 95% efficiency upgrade, that is 15% more efficient at least! Additionally, older systems lose efficiency over the years. That means your upgrade is likely getting you even more than that 15%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
