Georgia has been proudly celebrating St Patrick\u2019s Day for more than 150 years. Atlanta\u2019s Peachtree Street boasts one of the country\u2019s largest parades, hosting hundreds of parade units every year, some from as far away as Ireland itself! There\u2019s plenty to do all over the state, from <\/span>Savannah\u2019s St Patrick\u2019s Day celebrations<\/span><\/a> to the annual <\/span>Atlanta St Patrick\u2019s Day parade<\/span><\/a>. When Saturday 17th comes around there\u2019s no better way to celebrate St. Patrick than by paying a visit to a real Irish pub within the <\/span>Atlanta Gas & Light service area<\/span><\/a> – here are our favorites.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fado Irish Pub – Corner of Peachtree & 8th St., Atlanta<\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re looking to get into the thick of things, <\/span>Fado Irish Pub<\/span><\/a> is about as good as you can get. The owners of this pub go all-in for St Patrick\u2019s Day; and no surprise, with the parade route running right by the pub itself. In fact, they\u2019re even putting on a 2-day block party along 8th Street for the whole weekend. If you\u2019re committed to celebrating St Patrick\u2019s Day just like the Irish do, then Fado\u2019s is the place to go in Atlanta; cheap natural<\/a> sourced food and the company is a gas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cutter\u2019s Pub – 120 E Clayton St., Athens<\/h3>\n

Cutter\u2019s Pub is a real bar<\/span><\/a>, with all the life and attitude that makes Ireland so beloved in America. It\u2019s an Irish pub without the gimmicks and theme; what it does best is serve drinks, and it has a huge selection to pick from. Guinness is on draught and a huge range of whiskeys are on offer. Cutter\u2019s Pub is a bar in the truest sense of the word – it offers a good crowd and great drinks. As the Irish themselves would naturally put it, “it’s a gas altogether in Georgia!”<\/span><\/p>\n

Sheehan\u2019s Irish Pub – 2571 Central Ave., Augusta<\/h3>\n

Celebrating St Patrick\u2019s Day in Augusta? Get yourself down to <\/span>Sheehan\u2019s Irish Pub<\/span><\/a> – try some authentic British (if not strictly Irish) scotch eggs, and wash it all down with Guinness. O\u2019Sheehan\u2019s is based around fine dining more than rowdy celebrations of St Patrick\u2019s Day – if you\u2019re looking for something more dive-y, then <\/span>Tipsey Mcstumbles<\/span><\/a> on the other side of town offers more of the flavor you\u2019re looking for.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bearfoot Tavern<\/span><\/a> offers a little taste of Gaelic hospitality in Georgia.
